Figure of 8 Reminder
The Under 1500cc Bangers (see new spec for these cars below)
return to Lynn for their second outing of the year on Monday
5 May when all of the races will be run over the figure of eight
course. There will be £25 start money for all smart cars that
remember to book in early enough for us to publicise the meeting fully, so if you are coming along
then please phone the office or contact the Ox in plenty of time and get your number on the list!
Safety is a primary concern over the figure of eight course, so can you please make sure your door
plates are up to scratch, otherwise you may be knocked back at scrutineering. As a reminder, a
door plate must be:
1*0” to 15” deep
·* 3/8” – ¾” thick
·* fitted to extend between 3” and 6” past the A and B post at each end
·* made of flat plate – not channel, angle or corrugated section
·* drilled only with holes for securing bolts – not slots
·* Fitted with a minimum of 4 bolts of which one must pass through the A pillar and one
through the B pillar and with A and B pillar bolts to be minimum 16mm studding or bolt
*· No spinner bolts can be used on a door plate
Looking further ahead, don't forget that the next under 1500cc session at Lynn is the £1,000 East
Anglian Team Championship on Saturday 7 June. Teams are made of up to four drivers and once
again we would like to get teams booked in by late May so that we can arrange an appropriate
format for the night and produce a good programme of events well in advance.
