319 Chris Woods won his first ever
race in the TSR Bangers

Top three in the TSR Banger Final
featuring (l-r) 400 Roland Bullock (3rd),
10 Darren Watkins (1st), 681 Jamie Pindar (3rd)
SHINNY SHINES

to finish with 515 Gareth Flatters taking second place
and 285 Sean Dyer gaining third.

The Allcomers race continued the fierce nature of battle
with 60 Kyle Stevenson getting pushed into a pile up
where his exit path was blocked and cars rained into him
as Shinny, McMillan and 79 Ricky Twell all took turns at
smashing him up. Father and son duo Nick and Chris Bull
were also heavily involved and teamed up in the closing
stages to pound 159 Darren Scarrow in a “Bull sandwich”!
Flatters continued an impressive performance by going
one place better than the preceding race to win the event.
The key objective for the TSR Bangers was to score World
Championship qualifying points and this led to some very

of the race allowing 928 Richard Steele to steal the win
from him. 400 Roland Bullock had to settle for second place
in Heat Two when he was unable to match the pace of 319
Chris Woods before mechanical problems forced the
retirement of 770 Gary Atkin from the consolation race after
he had built up a considerable lead. The beneficiary was 644
Luke Etheridge who picked up the pieces to take the win. In
the Final, 390 David Gibson made rapid progress through the
field and gained the lead in the race with just over two laps
to run. However, 10 Darren Watkins had alternate ideas and
despite only having a few meetings of race experience, he
got back on the throttle to spin Gibson aside and reclaim the
lead, which then turned into his first race victory at Lynn.
Bullock recorded his second runner-up spot of the day with
681 Jamie Pindar taking third spot. The allcomers race saw
447 Sam Reynolds produce an excellent drive through an
unusually hectic race where there weren’t too many big
crashes but there seemed to be cars tangling up and spinning
out at every opportunity. His was the victory whilst the
