LEWIS TAKES FINAL The latest instalment of Stock Car and Banger racing at the Norfolk Arena came on Saturday night when the TSR Bangers, Lady TSR Bangers and National MiniStox all shared the bill. The TSR Banger final was a real thriller with 939 Steve Lewis surviving immense pressure from 1 Shane Cottrill to cross the line first for a hard-earned victory.
The weather forecast was anything but promising for the Saturday night racing and some drivers opted to stay at home although in the event the meeting remained dry from start to finish. The consolation race saw King return for another try and he once again engaged in a cracking race with Chilverhouse taking the role of his rival on this occasion. Once the lead had exchanged hands a couple of times, Chilverhouse ended the contest by spinning King out and he then escaped getting caught up in a late Roadside Turn melee to take the win.
